Mexico High School

Mexico Senior High School opened its doors to students on January 23, 1928.  The main building has been expanded twice; the campus also features newly renovated Hawthorne Heights (football and track), newly built Gallop Field (softball), and a new indoor sports complex, in addition to tennis courts and a soccer field.  The Davis H. Hart Vocational-Technical School is at the opposite end of the grounds from the high school.

The Gothic Towers of Mexico Senior High School are in the process of being put on the National Register of Historic Places.

Mexico Public Schools are Accredited with Distinction, an honor only granted to 20% of Missouri's schools.

McMillan High School
McMillan High School opened in 1908.  When the new high school building opened in 1928, elementary students moved into McMillan.  With the 1955 addition of two new elementary schools, McMillan's name was changed to Central, and it served as the central office for the district over the next decade.  The former school is now known as the Landmark Building and houses several offices and a pharmacy.
