Constructed in 1887, Simmons' Stable is the oldest and largest public stable in the U.S. that has been in continual use as a horse facility. The trademark feature of the barn is a large stained glass fanlight above the front door.

Tom Bass and John Hook are only two of the celebrities that have worked in this barn, which has been run by such famous horsemen as Potts & Clark, the Lee Brothers, B.B. Tucker, and the Simmons family. Star Saddlebreds such as Belle Beach, Forest King, Miss Rex, Thornton's Star, and Roxie Highland top the list of horses that have been trained at this facility.
