Mexico has 13 parks totaling over 300 acres that provide for a variety of recreational activities, including sports facilities, fishing and boating lakes, playgrounds, a pool, and nature trails.
                               
The community's largest park, Plunkett Park, totals 127 acres.  This park borders Mexico High School and offers a variety of recreational pursuits including the five-acre Kiwanis Lake (pictured), three shelters, volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball, frisbie golf, playground areas, nature trails, and a regulation softball/baseball field. Lakeview Park Lakeview Park features a 24-acre fishing lake, a boat dock, campground, shelters, basketball court, playground area, and a walking trail.
