Hello Mexico

For several years, our community did not have a program for welcoming newcomers. To answer this need, the Chamber began “Hello Mexico” in 1992. Our current hostess, Annabel Gooch, personally visits new residents of Mexico. Along with answering questions about our community, Annabel presents each with a “Hello Mexico” canvas bag filled with gifts – logo items, discount coupons, and/or letters of introduction.

We are proud of this program and feel it is a way to benefit Chamber businesses while introducing newcomers to Mexico. Only Chamber members may participate. The cost is $75 per 100 visits (usually around 18 months), plus a welcome item for each visit. Participants receive a monthly listing of the new residents “welcomed” along with their address, phone number (if listed), and other pertinent information.
